Singular and plural

➤La mayoría de los nombres forman el plural añadiendo -s al final: book-books, chair-chairs.
Los nombres terminados en s, x, z, ch, sh forman el plural añadiendo -es al final:
  • bus-buses
  • box-boxes
  • dish-dishes
  • watch-watches
Los nombres terminados en consonante + y forman el plural sustituyendo la y por -ies.
  • lady-ladies
Los nombres terminados en consonante + o forman el plural añadiendo -es.
  • potato-potatoes
➤ Algunas palabras que acaban en -f o en -fe cambian en plural por -ves.
  • wife- wives
  • shelf-shelves
➤Plurales irregulares: 
man- men      woman-women    child-children    tooth-teeth    foot-feet   
mouse-mice    fish-fish    sheep-sheep   cactus-cacti

Famous People from History

Roal Amundsen:  He was a Norwegian explorer. He was the first person to travel to the South Pole (1911). In 1926 he was the first expedition leader to the North Pole.

Gustave Eiffel: he was a French engineer. He was born in 1832. He designed the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. He didn´t travel to New York to see the Statue.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: he was born in Salzburg ( Austria) in 1756. He was a composer from the Classical Area. He composed more than 600 works. He played the piano and the violin for kings and emperors. When he was a child he travelled around Europe with his family.

The Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions.


Standing 214m (702 feet) at their highest point they stretch for 8 kilometres (5 miles) along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. From the Cliffs of Moher on a clear day one can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay.

Driving in the Uk

Remember to drive on the left side of the road.

Learn the language. bonnet, boot, windscreen, tyre, bumper, gear stick, mobile, car hire, roundabout, motorway.

Don't speed. The speed limits on the motorways are 60mph (96km/h) for some vehicles and 70mph (112km/h) for cars.
