When I was young

How can you describe a person in the past? 
When I was at school, I was quite shy and quiet.
When my mum was young, she was talkative and sporty. 
My dad was artistic and funny. 
My grandad was hard-working. 
My granny was brave and intelligent.

Remember some more adjectives:
Lazy: vago
Friendly: amable
Nervous: nervioso
Naughty: travieso

Marie Curie

Today is March 8th. We remember important women from the Past.

MARIE CURIE: she was born on November 7, 1867. She became the first woman to win a NOBEL PRIZE and the first person (man or woman) to win the award twice.
Curie´s efforts with her husband Pierre Curie led to the discovery of polonium and radium and, after Pierre´s death, the further development o
f X-rays. The famed Scientist died on July 4th, 1934.

He developed many devices: the phonograph, the motion picture camera and the electrical light bulb.
He was born in 1847.
He died in 1931.

Famous People from History

Roal Amundsen:  He was a Norwegian explorer. He was the first person to travel to the South Pole (1911). In 1926 he was the first expedition leader to the North Pole.

Gustave Eiffel: he was a French engineer. He was born in 1832. He designed the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. He didn´t travel to New York to see the Statue.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: he was born in Salzburg ( Austria) in 1756. He was a composer from the Classical Area. He composed more than 600 works. He played the piano and the violin for kings and emperors. When he was a child he travelled around Europe with his family.
