         In Canada we celebrate Easter. Easter means the start of spring.

         Children leave out an empty Easter basket the night before Easter.

         The Easter Bunny comes and fills the Easter basket with coloured eggs and chocolate. The Easter Bunny hides chocolate eggs.

         The children wake up and find the eggs in an Easter Egg hunt.

St Patrick´s Day

It is celebrated on March 17th in Ireland and in many countries. People wear green clothes and lots of parties are organized around food and drinks.
The most common symbol is the shamrock. It is the leaf of the clover plant. A leprechaun is a little bearded man in the Irish tradition. He is very small. He has the magical power to give you three wishes.
